Speed Sport story about the car written by David Sink and posted in 2023:
Seabiscuit: 32 Years and Going Strong https://www.speedsport.com/sprints-m...=ap_fvv8kteugn “The car is pretty much the same as it was built in 1991” When the Hoffman’s had the car, it was driven by Steve Butler, Robbie Stanley, Kenny Irwin and Andy Michner. Dick Meyer’s drivers include: Cameron Dodson, Charlie Schultz, Aaron Pierce, Brian Gerster, and Kody Swanson among others. |
Re: Congrats Kody Swanson
Also that car holds the track record at Bristol with a 12.742 in 2011.

Charles,
In 1997 when Tony Stewart won his first Silver Crown race at Vegas was on dirt. The dirt track is on the north side of the big (NASCAR/Indy Car) track. The asphalt track (The Bullring) is on the southwest side. All are part of the same complex. |
Non downtube car. Wonder if it's a mid-rail with the tubes just under the hood.
I'd also like to see the torsion bar tube placement. |

In this link can be found a quote by Rob Hoffman that is probably the most significant thing for pavement cars: "They have a lot of torsional rigidity. Dick (Meyers) ran the numbers and told me about it. It reacts a lot faster than most cars. Small changes on that car make a big, big difference." |
