and there's always been a Silver Crown race scheduled for Friday night May 26th. so this doesn't step on any toes or make anything any more challenging for anyone than it was going to be. all they've done is add about 50 laps to the race that was on the schedule, changed the name, and upped the purse. probably a good move, as even though the weather would probably have been ok to hold the race (though tire temp could have been a challenge), the high of 49 would have kept the crowd down, thus turning the race into a financial loss and jeopardizing what IRP is building.
