Ferkel's placement in the pic is interesting. The big 0 on the wing makes it almost looks like he has a halo. |
Re: Your First Racing T-Shirt?
A Dave Darland #36d - Beachy Engines/Earlywine Racing shirt when I was five years old.
I can't seem to fit into a youth small anymore. I'll try to eat more salad so I can wear it to the track next year. :wink |
Re: Your First Racing T-Shirt?
I'm sure mine was a 1982 Oxford 250 shirt. Surely I still have it. That was way before I started watching sprintcars.

Re: Your First Racing T-Shirt?
Mine was a Ventura Raceway tee shirt with two TQ's on it. I was 4 years old. Three Quarter Midget Racing was huge in the '80's at Ventura.

Re: Your First Racing T-Shirt?
I bought both of my first racing shirts on the same weekend and they are on the bottom of a dresser full of t-shirts that have.....shrunk in size over the years :rolling
A Sammy Swindell Old Milwaukee shirt and a Lloyd K Stephens Ofixco Special shirt with Ronnie Shuman. My first USAC shirt and I still have it is a Roy Caruthers shirt (aka "Pizza Man" if your reading Roy Boy..inside joke) from the 5c Crucean years I believe 1991 or so. |

You and I probably have that in common. |
Re: Your First Racing T-Shirt?
My was a DeWayne Barker, Barker Auto Sales 33B shirt. Probably '84 or '85. He was local driver that ran Warsaw Speedway. It was him, Denny England, Bimbo Atkins, and Tony Elliott that always seem to battle for the championship. I can still remember what it looked like even though it is long gone.
