Re: Old School

You are still old school if you have your racecar numbers hand lettered!

I am old school. Watched Dad's car run at Berea, Ohio fairgrounds in 1945. 1946 at Sportsmans Park, Canfield Fairgrounds, Akron Rubber Bowl for a few. First race in 1947 at Canfield when the front stretch pit was line with all new Kurtis Kraft Offenhausers. My first stock car race at Barberton,Ohio in 1953. First USAC race in Frank Bardazon Offy at New Bremmen,Ohio in l961. First IMCA race at Tampa, Florida in George Nesler sprinter in February of 1962. Plenty of race stories in all the years.

Wasn't aware there was any other way! It is hard to find a good brush artist anymore, and expect to pay more, maybe, guess I'm Old School, some call me "Retro" and have for years, but when I take my car to my "artist", he doesn't need any instructions, kinda like getting a hair cut, spend 10 minutes telling him how you want it, and he'll spend whatever time it takes, to make it look right!Bob!:8:

You are old school if you remember snapping the seat cover upholstery on at the race track.

You are old school if you won a nylon jacket from a fuel additive company for winning the trophy dash.
