On this Friday July 14 I'll take time to reflect & remember racing legend Sheldon Kinser.
Privlaged to have seen Sheldon race a lot over the years. A couple of races stand out in my memory. First was a Sunday afternoon (yes, bright sunshine) USAC 50 lap sprint car feature at Terre Haute that he won. And the other was a USAC sprint race at Eldora. I believe it was hot laps, Sheldon flipped down the front straightaway. Only to rebuild that car in the pits on the frontstretch at his pits and race the feature that night in that car. Thank you to the entire Kinser family! Sheldon is certainly not forgotten!

I don't know why one of the few things I can remember about him is that his head almost always stuck above the roll cage. DIdn't see him run too much

My dad took me to Illiana speedway In Sherrillville,In when I was just a pup. Sheldon flipped out of the place on the backstretch. I don't remember seeing it but my dad told the story over and over so I am sure it happened..

I sure remember Sr....seen him race many times....Also very good friends with Jr. and have had him drive my midget and win several times.... LOVE the "HISTORY" of our beloved sport!!!
