Contact: Rumble Series PR 317-418-3216 Elliott's Trailer Connection To Sponsor Rumble Series Indoor Midget Points Fund BROOKVILLE, Ohio -- Car owners fielding midgets for this year’s five-race indoor Rumble Series will be competing for a new $7,020 points championship announced today. The fund will be sponsored by Classic Motorsports president Tony Barhorst and two-time Rumble in Fort Wayne winner Tony Elliott, president of Elliott’s Trailer Connection of Warsaw, Ind. Elliott has expanded the payout with his sponsorship. Elliott has motor/toter homes, race, cargo, vendor and motorcycle trailers in addition to a line of golf carts. The company has a website at http://www.elliottstrailers.com. The Rumble Series, with its traditional Rumble in Fort Wayne during the Christmas holidays, has expanded with events at the Columbus, Ohio, Expo Center Coliseum on Nov. 1 and the Toledo, Ohio, SeaGate Centre on Dec. 19 and 20. The 11th annual races at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum Expo Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., are Dec. 26 and 27. “This is a good start of what will be a fun battle to watch for in this car owner points championship,” said Barhorst. “Car owners are the real backbone of our sport, and they deserve recognition for their hard work and risk. I am proud of the unique cars and the diverse drivers from many different series we have at our events.” The championship car owner will receive $1,150. Second place will pay $900, third $670, fourth $590, fifth $520, sixth $445, seventh $395, eighth $340, ninth $320, 10th and 11th $300 each, 12th and 13th $280 each, and 14th and 15th $265 each. Points are awarded for the actual car rather than the car number. If an owner enters multiple cars, points will be accumulated for each individual car. This makes it possible for a car owner to win money for each car in the final standings but eliminates the possibility of of combining points from more than one car. For example, one car owner can win money for second and third in the final standings, but the second and third place points can not be combined to win first. Points will be awarded for the top six qualifiers, the top four finishers in each heat race, and all positions in the semi-feature and feature. Points awarded will be: Qualifying, 6-5-4-3-2-1; Heats, 8-7-6-5; Semi: 4-3-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-etc.; Feature, 60-57-54-51-48-45-42-39-36-33-31-29-27-25. Rumble Series events also include the Lucas Oil Quarter Midgets, Karts, Jr Sprints, 600cc Modified Midgets, and Slingshots By Tobias. For more information on entries, racers rate hotels and tickets, e-mail Tony Barhorst at tbracefest@aol.com, visit www.rumbleseries.com or call 317-418-3216.

Good to see Tony give back to help the sport, if you can send some business his way to show your support. :checkered:

Newly built and older cars that have been purchased recently will run their first Rumble Series events this year. We will post the variety of engine/chassis combinations soon.
Rick Daugherty aquired another car to go with the 0 car Darland has been driving. |
