FINALLY! No water truck, no Sheepsfoot, no this, no that, but wait: NO SPRINT CARS? Well, can't have that. So even though I could not afford it, It was off to Gas City.

I really do not know what to think that this place just may not be here next year. Alot of memories, alot of great racing. One thing that stands out is the way Eric Shively used to flat HAMMER DOWN up there.

A stroll through the pits, a nice chat with Jiggs, and umpteen shirts later, My girlfriend Kim, My son and myself seen a fine show. Some great racing from second on back, that because of one Cole Whitt. I just hope come spring by some chance that there is a set schedule for track where "action is the attraction".
We are gonna miss you Jiggs. (And you better be at the burg Sat. like you said!)

Sat. morning and its Bob Evans, and is it, could it be, the Grand pobah of Section "A", the honorable Fishburger? Stove still broke heh :wink

Off to Haubstadt, and as we walk in could it be, yes it is the one and only Shortbus! Hey shortbus I keep hearing about this bike or something, lets you and me ride out to the Oval Nationals this year! If we get tired and poop out Mowerman might meet us halfway or something.

Great time talking racing with Dirtfan, and Jerry, and to top it all off, Daron Clayton was worth the price of admission if he would have only run 5 laps! Man, what a show!

I tell ya, I gotta be one lucky person to spend 7 days a week at the burg getting things ready each and every week, and when I do get a weekend that we are not racing to live in a state that has the BEST RACING AND RACING TALENT in the country. Ya'll try and remember that!
