My nephew and I will again put on our "Race Fan" hats and support Ryan Ruhl with a Race Party to help fund his 2017 season and you all are invited. I know many IOW fans are from Michigan or near the Michigan-Indiana border.

**The 2nd Annual Ryan Ruhl Racing Fundraiser will take shape on Saturday, March 11 from 2:00-5:00 pm. It will return to the Quincy, MI American Legion after a very successful 2016 event.**

All are welcome to the pre-season celebration featuring various fund raising activities, food/drink options, and racing related items to support Ryan in his upcoming season. It's time to have some fun and get ready for the Sprint Car Season!
Ryan had a solid year in 2016 earning two main event victories in the Sprint's On Dirt-SOD series with his potent winged 360 Sprint Car. He was consistently contending for the podium wherever he raced in 2016 as he also had many GLSS (360 Series) starts. He is fresh off his Chili Bowl midget debut where he carried the flag as the only Michigan driver! Ryan plans to again focus on racing against the top drivers in the Michigan region.
This unique event put on by his fans will allow you to see both his sprint car and Chili Bowl midget up close and personally talk with Ryan. Bring the entire family and have some fun as we send Ryan out on the road for the 2017 racing season.

To all my fellow IOW members, here is to a great start to the 2017 season. I will again cross the border to visit several Indiana tracks this race season. 2016 included attending Indy Speedrome, Bloomington, Lincoln Park and Tri-State for the first time along with return visits to Montpelier, Winchester, South Bend, and Gas City. I can't say I had a bad night at any of them!

We will try our hardest to make the long winter trip from out west (West Michigan) to the bustling metropolis of Quincy. for the aforementioned gala event. I hope all brothers of the Loyal Order of the Short Track Action Club Fraternity (membership is free, by the way) can make it. This is a marvel idea of the Bean family. And, as fish pointed out (above) a class act guy, and his family, are entitled to the offerings.

Just a reminder that the Ryan Ruhl Pre-Season Race Party is this coming Saturday at the Quincy, MI American Legion from 2:00-5:00 pm. Along with Ryan’s 2 Sprint Cars, the Adgate Midget that he drove at the 2017 Chili Bowl Nationals will also be on display. There will be food and beverage available to purchase.
As an added treat, the restored orange Dale Miller #38 will be on the grounds as his son, Chris Miller, proudly displays the vintage coupe. The car ran throughout the Tri-State area in the 1960’s and 70’s at Bryan-OH, Angola-IN, Manchester-MI, and Butler-MI along with many other tracks. Chris will also have his extensive collection of 1960s-70’s pictures on display at the fundraiser.
Auction and raffle items include Kyle Larson’s Chili Bowl Midget tire autographed by Kyle, Tony Stewart, Ryan Ruhl and Lexi Adgate. Along with the various racing related items, displays and merchandise on hand, there will also be a baked goods sale contributing to the fundraiser.
