Going to be a lot of surprised drivers when they get to Hartford (MI) Speedway on June 30th.
I'll say this No more 1/2 mile. Going to a 3/8's mile oval in 2017.

Notables:

As pointed out earlier, no Fremont and only one Indiana show. I really liked the two day Indiana Dirt Classic at Kokomo last year. Too bad it is gone, but maybe that will now be a WoO or USAC show? Too bad Plymouth is not on it, too.

After last year's utter mess at Butler, I am not surprised at all that they dropped it. I think Butler would be lucky to get a SOD or GLSS event next year IMO. Millstream is gone. I could care less for I have never left that place satisfied.

Merritt Speedway is on the docket the night after Hartford. This is great for us up this way but Merritt is a long way from anywhere for anyone else. Merritt has had WoO Late Models the past few years, though. With that, I-96 Speedway is gone. Like Millstream, not going to that joint doesn't bother me either.

Right after the Kokomo date comes back to backers in Wisconsin. Good for those guys. And.... with the IRA!

It is what it is and winged fans will have to play the hand dealt. Not a bad hand, though.

I'm not surprised about Butler. FAST I assume won't return either.

As for SOD, John Naida had a post last year defending Butler. Pretty much saying when things go well at Butler no one comments. When things go bad everyone is quick to rip them. He talked about some other tracks it's the opposite.

Tha being said, I think SOD will be back. Maybe even 3 times.

GLSS and NRA. are teaming up for 6 races in Michigan. It'd be nice if 1 is Butler but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't come back at all.

This might be the year Butler brings back MTS.

I think you are right. With both Butler and SOD being 410s, it only makes sense that they run together and take advantage of each others' cars as often as they can.

How many of you have been to Macon in IL. It's tiny for sprint cars I think a 1/5 mile.
