So it looks like JG has settled into the 17 car and is having some very good runs. Before all this took place I was thinking that Max was an up and coming hot shoe. So with all that has changed, where is Max headed now? Hate to not see him behind the wheel of a sprinter.

He's in college. Your question could be answered with a PM to his father Mike.

A VERY WISE young man once said, and I quote, "There is more to life than racing."

Josh worked three jobs and got his teaching degree while trying to keep up with a race car, believe me when I say this the family are very wise doing it the way they are doing things as it wore Josh way down. He is a special Ed teacher now with a family and has no regreats whatsoever. After getting married and starting a family he is now set to move foreward in life with a good job a great family and a racecar to race when he gets enough sponsors to do it. One of the best racedrivers we know said it best, do school now and get it out of the way and when you get done the racecar will be there as very few people go back to school after taking several years off.
I just thought of something this was the same time we ran all the sprint weeks the Ill speed weeks the Pa swings and a host of other races two or three a week, Im tired all over again ![]() I applaude the family for the decision they have made and am sure we will see the kid back when his school is behind him. Tell them you love them every chance you get as it may be too late if you wait. Jerry #66j

JJ Hughes parked the race car for at least three years. Back to racing now with the things that matter in place!

And now that I pay for half, I completely understand how much everything costs! (Actually going back for my masters this January!) Good for Max. I don't regret my decision. I do wish that I hadn't lost half my driving ability in my three years off. We're getting there though! ![]() ![]() |
