The 22-car field is lined up and we are just moments away from 30 laps of fun at the 46th annual "Tony Hulman Classic!"

A flat left rear tire on the car of Tony DiMattia brings the action to a stop on lap 5. Meseraull leads Ballou, Stanbrough, Boespflug, Coons (from 15th!), Bacon, Stockon, Cottle, Cummins, Wissmiller. Darland runs 12th after starting 19th.

On the lap 5 restart, Boespflug loses a left rear tire, bringing out the yellow. Meseraull, Ballou, Stanbrough, Coons, Bacon run top-5. Carson Short pulls into the pit area with a broken panhard bar.

Robert Ballou throws a massive slide job on Meseraull for the lead in turn 3 and makes it stick! BUT, at the same time, Landon Simon comes to a stop, bringing out the yellow, putting Ballou back behind Meseraull for the lap 9 restart. Top-5: Meseraull, Ballou, Stanbrough, Bacon, Coons.
