What do they call the process to aluminium dash panels? Every vintage midget used this....I just can't remember what it's called tho.........thanks

Machine turning? Or engine turning, probably depending on where you live.

It's really bad, when you're standing in the bathroom, wondering what you came in for! Right after I posted this, I poured myself a cup of coffee, and put it in a cabinet above the microwave to warm up, it does get worse! Bob

You need a drill press>>>for the small size 1/2" or 3/4" dowel rod works fine and fine valve lapping compound, a little bluing will give it a dash of color. To keep them neat clamp a fence to the table and move it each row. Larger ones can be made with fine rolock sanding disks.

You can purchase machined turned aluminum at a number of places. Speedway Motors is one.
