Tonight will be a night that I will remember for a long time, two of the most respected people in open wheel racing told us they were going to start going to races instead of promoting races. I will also never forget the first race at Gas City and how far the race track has come since that first night. Phil is the laid back one where Jigg's is like a fart in a whirlwind you never know witch way he is going to go, :respect: one thing for sure they both want what is best for racing in general.

Nobody knows what the future holds for a hole in the ground just off of I-69 but one thing is for sure Jigg's ,Phil and the entire Gas City crew will go out with our respect. :respect: And a lot of friends.

I would just like to thank Jiggs, Nona, and Jack for all the years of enjoyment for myself and our family. They took an old dusty overgrown field, and a former track that had a dubious history at best, and built it into one of the finest racetracks anywhere, with some of the best racing every Friday nite anywhere in the country. I for one am very sad with this decision and can only hope whoever takes over can keep this tradition alive. We traveled over 300 miles each weekend for the past 15+ years to see the races and share the close family relationship at the track. IMO Gas City is one of the best tracks in the country.

I hope that Jiggs, Nona, and Jack enjoy their retirement as much as they and we have enjoyed their "labor of love" running the track. Good Luck.

We will miss the gang who really built a wonderful track for many years to come. Hopefully we will see you at the races. Don't fall off the radar.

We hope there will be many more years of racing at Gas City.

I'm just glad you guys didn't make this decision while TP was still racing. I would have lost my ride in the pits!!! LOL Jiggs used to pick me up all the time and take me back to the car or up to the bleachers. We LOVED Gas City, one of the best tracks anywhere!!!! All of you will be missed. Enjoy your retirement. Hopefully someone will come along that will LOVE the track as much as all of you did and pour themselves into it to keep the tradition going.
