So I have an 04/06 r1 I was told that all the lighting sprints ran in second gear. I have ran micro and in those we ran second gear hitting around 15,000. I have looked at a gearing chart in hypers catalog and the gearing don't go past 13,000 until you get into a 11 gear on the motor.
So my question is what gearing are most running on a 1/4 and on 3/8 and what are the sweet spot # for the 04/06 r1 |

2 or 3rd gear are usually used, 3rd opens up different gearing possibilities without altering the chain.
If you were to purchase a 12,13,14 driver and a 50-53 rear gears rear you would be covered with a R1. |

I agree with Bradley, race in 2nd or 3rd gear. I think we hit the chip in ours around 13600. The best way to know where your sweet spot is by having it dynoed.
