Is this beast considered open wheel?



take a saturday night off the dirt and go see the wildest race in Indiana the 32nd annual world 3 hour enduro at the speedrome. Open wheel and fendered cars go for 3 hours on the 8.

A guy I grew up with has won the 3 hour enduro twice.

If you do not consider the above open wheel you can not deny these





7 cars pulled in from Florida last night. A group from California led by Jesse James should be pulling in as I type this. Should be a heck of a show.

I'll be there taking off a night of sprint cars and or midgets for a one off night of Figure 8 racing. Went last yr for the first time,and it was pretty cool.

Of course I have a soft spot for figure 8 racing because they had figure 8 at my home track in Maine,and I grew up watching,and later working on them,even though these were just stock cars with stock motors,and the longest race of the season was 20 laps long. Nothing like the Late Model type of cars they run at the Speedrome.

That was WAYYYYYYYY before I had watched any sprint car racing.


Might even go for qualifying tonight,havent made my mind up.

its ok I see several sprint car fans at this race. Actually Sprint car fans are the first people that ever took me to it. This years race is looking good. The compitition is getting tighter and tighter. Don't get me wrong there will still be several slow cars, but the out of towners have some new, FAST, rides. I'll be in oval turn 3 this weekend.
