Picked this "50s" style TQ up back east, Crosley powered. From what I'm told it has its roots in Indiana..........Old body panels say the Ayers kids on the hood. As well as Superior Body shop. Anyone seen this before.Any info would be appreciated..... Thanks Tom

Sandy Lowe post on here frequently. She could most definitely put you in contact with someone who knows TQ history...if she doesn't know the car off the top of her head.
Thanks for posting, Kerry |

Tom, that TQ was built by Harley Ayers and his son Norman I believe in the late fifties in Martinsville Indiana. It was a baby blue #27. They raced it with the original Midwest Three Quarter Midget Club. I took my first ride in that car at the old dirt go kart track NW of Martinsville off SR 67. I always wondered what happens to that car, my Dad Elmer Smith built a twin to it and I think it was cut up for scrap? Barron Smith
