Just to let you know Ty will no longer be using his taser to control out of control race fans :respect: he has moved to the trunk and will be using his shotgun from now on. :rolling Ok before anyone loses control Ty saved several people from what could have been a lot worse in Highland Park the other night when two dogs attacked anything and everything that moved, Ty shot both dogs and put and end to the danger. Good job Ty but please go back to the taser for the race fans. :checkered: (Areo you had better be on your best behavoir the rest of the season. :rolling)

OK, OK!
No more taser lines from me on IOW for Ty to read. BTW, we all need to thank our law enforcement officers a lot more. This incident is just another example of the situations officers like Ty (onlydirt) and Rob (throb) face while on their jobs. |

Thanks for the kinds words and comedy! POC you'll still get yours!
As usual the media only gets half the story in print. The dog attacked 4 kids and a chihuahua, and some guy who tried to play dog whisperer when I arrived. These dogs were working together and if someone would have fell to the ground they would have mawled them. Dog Whisperer told me he trains dogs and can get them for me, then they began circling and taking nips at him one at a time each attacking from the rear. I racked the shotgun and began screaming for everyone to get back. Put them down and then called for the animal control guy to meet me since he couldnt find the dogs 5 minutes earlier. Some lady keeps calling complaining I shot a shotgun in the park...Only things shot were the dogs! She has even called in on Mail Call on WWKI. My pager and cell phone hasnt stopped yet today. All this happened Tuesday, but the paper got a hold of it and made it a big deal. [B]THe best thing that happened that day was a drug arrest of 300 grams of Cocaine being brought to the city to supply our drug dealers. Thats roughly half a kilo folks, the stuff you see in the movies![/ |

This story was picked up today in the Bloomington newspaper. The reader response was mostly that the dog owners should have been shot also.
Keep up the good work, Ty. |

Must be something in the air... recently there have been several pitbull related incidents in our area also. Heck, even the "big city" of East Alton made all of the St. Louis news channels.
I blame the owners, who aren't, but should be responsible. :angry-smiley-007: |

Ty,
Don't worry about the nag on Mail Call. If she would have been there she would have been thankful you did what you did. I'm thankful you were there since I know a couple of those involved. Great job. Brett Bowman |
