Looking for the best place to watch a race between July 11th & July 19th
Will be traveling to Fort Campbell (Kentucky / Tennessee) to see my brother (Green Beret) and his family along with his expectant wife (July 8th). Wondering what would be the best place to catch a race while on vacation and traveling to Hopkinsville, Ky / Clarksville, Tennessee area? I know there is a track in Clarksville. Not really interested. Been there before. Won't be able to during the week other wise I'd go to Lincoln Park for Indiana Sprint week on that Thursday. Either the weekend of July 11th & 12th or July 18th & 19th. Any info on either of the 3 tracks would be great. Tri-State Speedway - Paragon Speedway - Lincoln Park Speedway. Thanks in advance for any info.

[/QUOTE in part] I would suggest starting with the IOW thread showing all the sprint car events for the year. Might be a few pages back by now but you can pick your dates/events from there. The next step would be to check each track's excellent website. You'll find info like directions to the track, support classes, times for gate opening, hot laps, quals, racing etc. Some even list concessions, weather forecasts, and more. You'll know what you can/cannot carry in and other useful info. Some also allow you to sign up for text messages in the event of cancellation. When you digest all that info and you still have questions you can get an answer on this site very quickly. Have a good time. You can't go wrong on any of the tracks you mentioned. ![]() |

Nathan Tri-State is only running on the 18th, but it's a Indy Sprint Week show.
Paragon has MMSA Winged Mini Sprints along with their normal show on the 11th, and HARF night on the 18th. LPS is not running sprints on the 11th but they have the 3rd Annual Slick Griffin Memorial Modifieds, Super Stocks Bombers and on the 18th MMSA Sprints, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Bombers. Best advice I could give would be to hit one on each weekend. Also thanks to your bother for his service to our country. I have a good friends and co-worker who is also a Green Beret. |
