Josh Burton Memorial Information and purse updates.

In just two short weeks May 22nd 2015 Bloomington Speedway will host the 2nd annual Josh Burton Memorial.
The contributions and incentives that are being added, to an already generous KISS/MSCS purse is nothing short of incredible.

There may be even more by race day, but here are some of the additions we currently have. Again, these are additions to the standard KISS/MSCS purse.

1st, Once again this year the winner will be presented a beautiful Henry Golden Boy rifle MSRP value $515.00, Four Seasons Gun Shop of Bloomington asked if they could sponsor the winners trophy this year. Thank you Ed, Bev, Brittney (Deckard) Davis, Tyler Deckard (Tyler’s fiancee) Mimi Miracle, and all their employee's! Ed Deckard was Josh's Little League coach.

2nd, Also for the second year Bloomington Speedway employee Leslie Prince and her husband Terry are donating $1000.00 dollars to the purse!
$500.00 to the winner and $500.00 to the driver leading lap 4 (Josh Burton's car number 04) this is an amazing and extremely generous gesture from true race fans Terry & Leslie Prince

3rd, Josh Burton Racing is adding money to the purse in all classes again this year. An additional $500.00 to the 410 sprints, both UMP Super Stock and UMP Modifieds an additional $200.00 to each class, and an extra $100.00 to the UMP Hornets too.

4th, The KinserAirfiler.com Racesaver sprints are receiving an additional $400.00 courtesy of Dan Roberts.
*ONLY RACESAVER LEGAL CARS WILL BE ALLOWED TO RUN THIS RACE AND THEY WILL BE CHECKED.

5th, Darlene Burton has been championing the use of HALO bars, so she herself, has put up an additional $1000.00 from the Josh Burton Racing fund to the winner, if his car is running a permanently welded HALO bar!

6th, Again this year a generous anonymous donor has stepped forward once again to donate a Hoosier medium right rear sprint car tire. The letters will be lovingly painted Josh Burton Orange by Lexi Taylor.
This prize will be awarded to the driver finishing in 4th place in the B-Main, if there are two B-Mains there will be a coin toss to determine the winner of the tire between the 4th place finishers of the B-Mains.

7th, Arizona Sports Shirts have graciously donated a number of racing t-shirts that will be given to the fans throughout the night.

Also, Josh Burton Racing T-Shirts will be available for purchase at the south end of the concession stand. ALL proceeds from the sale of JBR shirts and memorabilia go to charity and also fund the above mentioned purse additions. Last year they sold out of most sizes, so go see Darlene and claim your shirt early.

8th, Bloomington Speedway will be giving away 2 children's bicycle's (1 boys/1 girls) they will be awarded by random ticket draw so be sure to hold onto your children's UNDER 12 tickets, for the random drawing.

9th, As a very special treat for the kids and all the fans, Bloomington Speedway has graciously agreed to hold the sprint car drivers meeting in front of the fans and kids on the front straight behind the flag stand in front of the main bleachers.
Fans will be able to listen in and experience a real drivers meeting. We ask that you enjoy this, but during the drivers meeting please, respect the process and listen quietly, once it is completed the drivers will sign autographs for the kids for a few minutes.

10th, We will have a very special singer for the National Anthem, at Darlene Burton's request. She said if Josh could choose a singer, this young man who has sang once before at Bloomington, would be his first choice.

There are sure to be more additions, and we will pass those along as soon they are verified.

Pit gate will open at 4:00
General Admission gate will open at 5:00
