Welcome to the 2015 Midwest Lightning Sprint racing season. We hope everyone has had an excellent off season and are ready to sling some dirt! This year we have some exciting things planned for us all. I-35 again will be our home track with 15 races schedule there and 22 total races this season. We are looking forward to kicking off our season at I-35 on April 18th. We have several new racers building cars in that area which will add to our growing car count in that region.

We have also added several traveling shows to our race schedule this year including Humboldt KS on May 1st, the new US-50 Raceway Park in Warrensburg on June 5th which is a Friday night. The reason we schedule this race for Friday night was to give everyone an opportunity to race a double header weekend as CMS will be racing our class the next night June 6th. CMS will allow us to race several double headers throughout the year please check out their schedule along with ours to see which dates this will effect.. Just a little word on CMS, it is great they are running our class this season. It gives everyone an opportunity to race more. We encourage everyone to attend as many CMS shows as possible that don’t conflict with MLS shows this year. Other traveling shows will be at Nevada Speedway now under new owners and name, I-49 speedway on June 20th which is always a fan favorite. We are planning to have a driver’s autograph session as in years past and will be giving away a driver’s autograph top wing side board. Plus it sounds like we will be pitted again on the north end of the track by ourselves. On July 3rd we are excited to be racing again at Grain Valley speedway after a year off there, this show we will be supporting the WAR sprint car series. On Aug 15th we are racing at CMS in Warrensburg for our only MLS point’s night race. Aug. 29th we are back for our second appearance at I-49 Speedway and then on Sept 12th we are back for our second appearance at the new US-50 raceway park in Warrensburg.

We have FOUR special events planned this season starting with the Jayhawk Millwright Clash for cash mini-series! These races, thanks to our sponsors are guaranteed $500 to win and $125 to start PLUS there is a Jayhawk Millwright $1000 points fund for these three races. Drivers will earn 10 show up points for attending each race. Points will be totaled per number of cars taking the green in the feature. So if there are 20 cars on night one who takes the green for the feature, 1st is worth 20 points. If on night two we have 18 cars that take the green on the feature first is worth 18 points on down the line. The $1000 points fund will be divided up between the top five points totaling drivers. 1st Place getting $300,2nd $250,3rd $200,4th $150,5th $100 The Jayhawk Clash for cash races are June 20th I-49 speedway Nevada MO, July 3rd Grain Valley Speedway, Grain Valley MO and Aug 22 I-35 Speedway, Winston MO. More details will be covered about these races at the drivers meeting. Our fourth special and final race of the year will be the Midwest Lightning Sprint FALL NATIONALS which will be held again at I-35 speedway on Oct 9th/10th. All races this season will be following the national lightning sprint rules including the MLS Fall Nationals.
We have several great sponsors on board for this season we wish to thank, Liquid and Powder Coat Finishes of KC, Jayhawk Millwright, Rod End Supply, Hoosier Speed who is sponsoring the MLS 2015 rookie of the year award, Victory Kim (State Farm Agency), Adams and Eaton Concrete Pumping, Kent Hauling who is sponsoring the Kent Hauling hard charger award this season. This award is worth $100 to the driver who advances their position the greatest in the feature at select events. The first event this will be awarded is at Humboldt Speedway on May the 1st , High Fly-n Photos and last but not least Midwest Speed shop in Holt Summit MO. Without these great sponsors it would be impossible to have a successful 2015 racing season. Please support the people who support Midwest Lightning Sprints.

We hope everyone is set for a great racing season. Let’s go racing boys and girls!

Forgot to add we have a three race waiver on membership fee's and also all races including the Fall Nationals are following the National Lightning Sprint Rule this season.

Other fliers image quality was not sufficient in hindsight, so I made a new one. Hope to see some of you guys this season.
