Seems like the larger track is really gonna start hurting the sprintcar car count. It's pretty bad when Putnumville out draws Lawrenceburg. Seems like there were some guys at Putnumville who would normally be at Lawrenceburg.

Let's see its 45min. and 3/8 of a tank of gas from Indy to putnam, or 2 hrs and a full tank of fuel to lawrenceburge. I wonder if this has anything to do with car counts.

Don't forget Flora IL had a $2,000 to win with $250 to start and $100 show money to everybody. Good highways from all 4 directions to get there and MSCS running the show.
They had 30 something good cars with Brady Short taking home the Candy! I think alot of guys were looking for something new and this track was the ticket. |

Was a good idea for the mscs to run at flora but with the track prep the rubber was being put down during hot laps and by feature time the train was a rolling around the bottom.Hopefully in september they will have the track in much better shape it is supposed to be prepped for the sprint cars not black slick.

I'm not usually one to complain, but the sprint feature checkered at about 9:45. Made the 1.3 mile drive home and was in the house before 10:00. What the heck am I supposed to do with the rest of my night? Stop in a bar? Everyone there is already snockered.....would be midnight before I could catch up. TV? Mrs. FB has control of the remote. Little House on the Prairie reruns won't get it. "There's a new schoolmarm in town" . Whoopdeedoo!! These early checkers may work for Dyno Don but I demand "bozo" that you return to midnight exits. :wink
![]() One good thing...they didn't draw the winning 50-50 ticket until I had left. fishnman, there might be a winning ticket laying around there this morning. It's yours if you find it. That's gonna save me a bunch of 5 dollar bills in the future as I always leave after the sprint feature. Figure I can still enjoy Cherie's pass through Section "A" without buying tickets to give/throw away. On a serious note, hated to see Joss Moffat retire for the night after smacking the backstretch wall. Knocked the whole center out of the RR wheel and he left rotor and other brake parts smoking in the dirt. He was really fast in hot laps and in his heat before getting too high out of 2. Different deal this season.....get too high and you bite some concrete. Can't just drive back onto the track as before. Also on a serious note, was great to see Richie back in the house along with his friend Dan. Finally met Eatin Dirt (Bob Bressert). Hope to get together with him and his dad Charlie on a carpool to somewhere later this season. Didn't get to talk at all with racefan20 (John Hoover) who settled in far to our left with two of his buds who I don't know. Best of all.....a seemingly promising report on Kenny Biro's progress. Pray hard and hope for the best. :checkered: |
