WAYNE DAVIS ON A MISSION TO MAKE SOUTHERN STATES MIDGET SERIES GATOR "DIRT" NATIONALS A HISTORIC EVENT

When the Inaugural Gator"DIRT" Nationals debuts at North Florida Speedway February 12th through the 14th it will hopefully start a tradition that will become larger and bigger each year thanks all in part to Jacksonville , Florida's "Southern Outlaw" promoter Wayne Davis.
Wayne's history in racing finds it's roots back to the old Lake City Speedway the dirt track now known as North Florida Speedway.
Racing skeeter cars ,stock cars and modifieds Wayne soon fell in love with wingless sprint cars and midgets after following them throughout the mid west and several years ago gave birth to the name Gator "DIRT" Nationals trying to run a winter series at another track.

Now Wayne has resurrected the "winterpaloosa" for midgets and invited E-Mods and micro sprints to share in the name and weekend of speed.
Mr.Davis has secured over 50 of some of the best midget drivers in the country to race for a combined $20,000 dollar purse over three nights and this could well become a who's who of midget racing for numerous series in years to come making for a speed weeks event during February for Midgets and Lightning Sprints 1000's.

Wayne has been "on the road" in the last month touring cities in Florida advertising the midget portion of the "Gators" with his famed #92 midget in tow.
A promoter extraordinaire traveling much like the old medicine doctors in the old west selling his big February event to who ever will listen.
And listening they are doing as people want to know more about the race where ever he lands.

"The response is outstanding" says Wayne. People who haven't been to a auto race in years are excited about this one and almost everyone I meet wants directions to the North Florida Speedway." exclaimed Davis. The #92 has been a big part of Wayne's life dating back to when Wayne's late best friend Benjie Mills and raced himself yet more currently has seen son Darrin Davis wheel to several championships with the Black and Orange midget racer.

This year Wayne will be concentrating solely on being "promoter" running his Southern States Division Two Midget Series at numerous tracks in Florida/Georgia and travel the 92 to Indiana/Illinois/Vermont in 2015 while son Darrin will be doing the wrenching and racing with a new crew trying for another championship.
