Dave Garrison passed yesterday after a long battle with cancer. I truly enjoyed passing time before the races talking with him. He had probably been to more races and tracks that 99 % of the posters here on IOW. He put up a valiant and long battle against cancer and now he will get to see a lot better racing than we will down here on earth. RIP Dave you will be missed.

I will miss you David and was happy to meet you on several occasions.

I was glad to know that you were able to get out and enjoy life while you could. I think 2012 he hit something like 175 races of all types around the country.

Save a seat for me in a the big track in the sky!
Prayers to family and friends.

Dave Garrison was a friend of mine and he gave me the privilege of archiving, updating, and displaying the list of tracks where he had seen races on my website. His last update was just three weeks ago. Someone mentioned that Dave had been to a lot of tracks. Dave saw wheel-to-wheel auto racing at 368 different tracks. I registered for IOW to share with you all the places he has been. If you are interested you can see the tracks at:

Myself and many others will miss Dave many times while on the road traveling to races in 2015. Rest peacefully, my friend. We will not forget you.
