The thermostat helps to slow the water flow down and to regulate the temoerature to give it time to cool....Hope that helps..

Had a thermo last season with my 2012 stick close. Always run without one now and car usually runs about 205-210. Most guys around us take them out

We have always ran with one and was curious what others were doing and how they made out .
Might give it a try without one just to see what it does .....thanks |

We always leave the thermostat housing in place, however we take the spring and center guts out of it . This leaves some restriction in the flow but the oppurtunity for it to stick close is not there as there is no operating mechanisims in there .

replace thermostat with 1/2" fender washer, also put small hole on side of washer (like thermostat has) to remove all trapped air
