Does anyone know of any new updates with Gas City Speedway? I really hope there is racing there next year.

I heard the same as another poster on this site.

THE TRACK IS FOR SALE, SERIOUS INQUIRY S ONLY. Don't know if its for Lease or not. Again serious inquiry's only.

What I heard is that Jack may try to keep his major dates. KISS, Midget and Sprint Weeks. There is no proof of this, And it should be taken as Hearsay. Although I trust who told me..

Same person who told me that if it wasn't supported this year, It wasn't going to make it and it didn't. Yeah Some of it was bad luck with the weather but still.

Rumor - GC will be operating in 2015 as mentioned in post above. Special event track hosting 5 or 6 race events next year. Not at liberty to mention whom or what group that will step up and take over promoting. Negotiations are still ongoing but from what I've heard it is almost a done deal.

My only attempt to take gas city off of my bucket list was 1st night of midget week this year. Mother Nature decided i should watch the horse races instead. Maybe next year !

It really is a shame, I just hope it's open to some end next season. Saw some great shows this year put on by the likes of Cottle, Boespflug, Ballou, and more. Would like to see the same kind of racing next year.
