A big shout out to Tom, Loris, their kids and their staff that do so much to make a night at the races such an enjoyable experience. The track just has a real good, friendly atmosphere to it and that doesn't happen by chance but by hard work and really caring about the racers and fans. I can't believe I've been attending races there since about 1960 and I still feel like a 10 year old kid looking for a fun night whenever I enter the gate. I wish all a great fall, a mild winter and an early April so we can do it all over again next year. And may Speedway Man continue to strive to reach Super-Hero status one day.

I agree Tom, TSS is probably the most fan friendly track I've ever attended!

What really surprised me was the crowd count. While it might have been low for TSS standards many tracks would have been glad to see that size crowd at a regular dry show. The racers have to make up their minds early whether to go racing or not. Many of the fans can look out the window and make that decision at a moments notice.

The way it looked to me is both fans and racers know about your ability to get a show in and are confident in your ability to get the show off if a Typhoon isn't happening at the moment.

Having a Chaplin present can't hurt either.

The crowd wasn't very big but the fans who were there got to see some great racing. The sprint feature was awesome! Brady Short, Kyle Cummins, Robert Ballou put on an awesome display of driving. Carson Short and Chet Williams drove there car's harder than I have ever seen them all season only to have bad luck strike them down but they sure made the feature and heats fun to watch. What a great way to end my racing season in 2014. Thanks Tri-State speedway for all you do to make racing fun for us fans!!

The Fall Festival was also still going on in Evansville Saturday night and that had to pull some people away from the track. It was drizzling when I left my house to head to the track about 6:30 so the crowd was pretty good considering the weather and the Festival kept some people away for sure. Obviously, we were lucky to get the show in and we sure were rewarded with a great evening of what I like to call "sprint car fury." The other classes were enjoyable as well.
