The United States Speed Association’s two racing series, the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW and the Mel Kenyon Midget Series will cap off the 2014 campaign right where it started, on the high banks of Anderson Speedway. Saturday night’s Paint the Night Pink event is in support of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual fund raiser.
The USSA racing series opened their 2014 season at Anderson on Sunday April 27 with the Glen Niebel Classic. Caleb Armstrong and Travis Young picked up the wins. Just a little over 5 months later, the drivers will settle the issue at the same track they started on. The Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW has featured three different winners in 2014. Armstrong, Jacob Wilson took his second straight Pay Less Little 500 and Chris Neuenschwander picked the checkers at USSA’s 1st trip to Angola Motor Speedway. Seven different drivers have earned wins in the Mel Kenyon Midget Series, creating the tightest point race in the series history. Point Leader Fehr has stood on top of the podium 4 times while Jessica Bean claimed the number one spot twice. Simpson World Indy Rookie of the Year leader Colten Dooley is the third driver in the mix to win the championship. Dooley grabbed his victory at Coles County Speedway. Young won for the third time this season at the most recent race on October 5. |

There are currently 36 points separating Chris Neuenschwander and Jason Fuller for the championship.

Not sure. Got here just before heats. Will have to ask. Kyle Ogara won midget feature. Sprints up next for 50 circles.
