I would like to take the time to say THANK YOU to the fans, driver, car owners and photographer's who supported Gas City Speedway this year. As someone who has work there for many years and loves the place, its sad to see no racing tonight. I do hope someone steps up and brings back the old Gas City Speedway, the place where you are apart of the family. A place when you leave for the night we wave as you drive by and say thank you! Please dont give up on the track, please when it opens again come out and support the track and the drivers. Bring a friend, a love one, or maybe someone who has never being there, once you go your hook and are apart of are family! Just in closing i would like to say thanks for the friends and family i have made. Hope to see all of you there again soon!! Leroy

Human nature is sure kinda of funny. We really don't miss anything or anybody until they or it is gone. Then we stand around and tell stories about all the fun we had with them or going there. I know my dad got sick with cancer many years ago and all of his friends avoided visiting him like he had the plague, then at his funeral they all showed up and talked about the good times. I know in my heart he would have really enjoyed a visit from his friends and it would have sure raised his spirits a lot.

We should put forth more effort on the living people or places, spend time with them in the present instead of waiting until they have passed and then getting together for that one last goodby.

Gas City is 300 miles from me and I work until 6 PM on Fridays but you guys up in Indy and in the vicinity should try visiting it ever once in a while>>>> IF IT DOES GET A REPRIEVE FROM EXTINCTION.

If however they do Midgets I might just have to let MAMA fire me.
