Attention: any non wing sprints choosing to participate with us at Waynesfield this Saturday (May 17) there will be added bonuses in the top 20 of the A Main above and beyond anything that you already get in product certificates. We want to thank you for choosing WRP this Saturday. Also in action will be the AMSA mini sprints, Tuff Trucks and the compacts. Come on out for a great racing evening. Program
Should be complete early.

WRP/Dan: First and foremost, I LOVE WRP. I support you guys every way I can. I am one of your biggest cheerleaders on this board and anywhere else I can get the good word about you guys out. I will be there as many times as I can this year to support you (already have been there for your first two races this year).

That said, I guess I'm dissappointed that you scheduled your non-wing guys up against the Eldora BOSS show. Maybe it was the other way around, and if so, I apologize. I think the original 2014 WRP schedule showed TBD for this Saturday. Now the non-wing fans have to make a choice, and this will no doubt hurt the car count at both shows too. I love the BOSS series - I wish they would run WRP more often, and I want to support them as much as I can, just like I want to support you. So the choice is tough, but it's BOSS for me Saturday. Wish I didn't have to make that choice. Same also for the KISS show at the 'Burg.

Business is business, I understand. As I said, I love WRP, and I'll be back soon enough.

First of all thanks so much for supporting us I personally appreciate it. It's tough to grow a track in this day and age. We are proud of how far we have came. We plan to continue to grow.
As for Eldora and our Schedule, we posted our schedule first and had no clue the deal for a BOSS show was made for the 17th. Aaron told me he was going to get a second date at Eldora but wasn't 100% on the date yet. In years past this has been a stock car and modified show only. We had always had non wings scheduled on the 17th but other classes were TBA. We were working to get a midget show in this date but things just didn't work out. I agree that it stinks with this many shows this close in proximity to one another. I don't fault BOSS, Eldora or even The Berg. I don't like splitting fans but in the same token it gives you choices. FYI Eldora has live timing via internet so you can virtually watch the races on your phone while sitting at WRP to watch live racing.
Trust me we don't try to work against one another it was just a later deal that was made..... No hard feelings. Maybe next year we will work out something special.

I read about this "problem" all the time. Why did this track schedule when this sanction/track scheduled. I honestly think its a wonderful problem to have. To have that many options to race/attend is great isn't it? If there was only one option, that may be great for whoever supported that one lone option. But what about those that don't? If a weekly track never scheduled a race any time a traveling series did, there wouldn't be any races scheduled. That's the reason and purpose of both. To allow those that enjoy one place stay in one place and those that like traveling the chance to do so. Heck, there are times I wish I could be at a half dozen tracks on any night they are racing. I'm glad I have the choice.

Danny and I have spoken on many occasions and we knew this was coming. However, WRP has been the weekly home of non wing racing in Ohio. They have a loyal following of fans and teams. Asking them to take a night off is unfair to those people who enjoy running there weekly. The Burg will have the KISS travelers and BOSS has grown tremendously to the east. The bottom line is that wingless sprint cars are doing better across the board than any other class of race cars right now. The numbers are getting stronger every year and as fans, you all have choices and any choice is the right one where you will see a good show! Lets just hope we all see good weather come Saturday!

One thing to keep in mind is it also gives racers a choice. For instance some drivers don't want to run the 1/2 mile track so running the 1/3 Mike WRP gives them the option. I think it's cool. Trust me when I say Aaron and I talk a lot about racing. I also have a good relationship with Roger Slack and Larry Boos at Eldora. We all support one another and hope you all continue to support us.

Honestly I think theres a bit of selfishness going on, But I also see the other side.

Theres another thread with all the options and that still left a couple out including the USAC Hall of Fame Classic at ORP.

Its been my experience that sometimes fan counts suffer as some will think Eldora will be the great show of date or TSS or "Insert name of track here"

But racers consider many things before choosing where they are going to race and often it evens out pretty good. The locals stay local for the most part. The travelers will pick Best Purse, What they think the best track conditions track will be, Their chances of a good finish or even making the show.

On the other hand, I wish tracks would work together a bit and run some fri/sat or sat/sun BOSS or specials. Tracks did work together to get KISS the way it works and some get left out if the weather don't cooperate and the series points fund still has to be paid.

I absolutely loved the way the Havest Of Sprints/Sprintacular worked out last year. Any takers on Sunday afternoon?

Hope all tracks do well and have a good turnout of fans and cars. A bad night at the track is better than a good night at work. Unless your working at the track and have a bad night.

Dan and Aaron, thanks for the reply and explanation. I certainly meant no criticism of anyone, and hope none was taken. Dan, WRP is tops in my book. I have enjoyed every trip I've made up there through the years. When I was grabbing a sandwich from your concession last week, I saw the picture on the wall of what must have one of your first races....with just a partial grandstand at that time. I thought about how far you have come and how much I love the place. You will always have my support and good word (for all that is worth!!).

Aaron, the BOSS series is awesome. I follow the results of every race. You have a great thing going and I'll support you as much as I can too. Have to get me a 2014 BOSS shirt soon. DKDORKBOY had one on Saturday. Looked snazzy (not you Denny, the shirt )

Thanks again guys. Thanks for all you do for us fans!
