Heading down for the 500. Will be at silver crown race Thursday night. Friday plan on a sprint car race (Gas City or Bloomington???) Lastly, would it even be worth heading over to see the night before the 500? Went the past two years but really don't want to see 8 or so midgets running around.

Your other choices on Saturday are the Little 500 or MSCS at Putnamville(MSCS is at Bloomington on Friday). Of course I always go to Kokomo after the race on Sunday

I would highly recommend the Little 500 if you haven't been before. A different type of race with 33 sprint cars starting in 11 rows of 3 on a 1/4 mile pavement track for 500 laps. The start alone certainly brings the hair on the back of my neck up each and every year. Live pit stops as well on the infield so there is a lot of action throughout the night. Last years race was probably one of the best that I have seen in my 38 years of attending. This year also has a lot of good drivers and cars already entered. I would expect quite a few more so keep this one in mind.

I personally have never been to the Night Before the 500 but I have heard that in recent years the car count has dropped and the interest isn't quite the same. Pavement midget racing in Indiana isn't what it once was. Sorry to say.

Gotta hit the Little 500. I HATE pavement racing with a passion but the Little 500 is a bucket list race. The start is insane. They are lapping cars almost immediately.

Little 5 no question. Just don't be in the VIP when the lights come on

All I need is a heavy track and heavy buzz!

I am driving down from Wisconsin. Hoping to hit carb day Friday, and Gas City Friday night. Little 5 is the main reason I am heading down. That race is a race I hope to never miss. Always stout competition. The first year I went was when Chris Windom won it a few years back. He was like 3 laps down with 20 or so to go and ended up winning it (my number might not be completely accurate but they are pretty close). Non-stop excitement!!

Little 500 is THE best race each and every year. I've been going since a little tot and wouldn't miss it for anything. I actually left my HS graduation party (20 plus years ago) to make the 2 hour drive over.

Last year was a great race with battles through the field all the way to the end. With the early entries I expect more of the same this year.
