Real sorry to hear that, not only a very good friend, but a real legend, and just an all around nice guy. Rest in piece my friend, you've earned it, and God Speed, you will be missed by a lot of people! As I look around my desk, I see an AJ Watson birthday button, looks like he was 90, on May the 8th. He built my all time favorite race cars. He was a bigger hero to me than any driver ever was. RIP

When you mention Indy Roadsters, Theres really only two names that come to mind. Watson and Kurtis. Although there were others built. If you ever see either of these twos creations, your in for a real treat.

R.I.P A.J. Watson Among the very best race car builders ever.

I agree; I had the honor of shaking AJ's hand out on Pit Road on Community Day a few years ago, and he thanked me when I told him
there was nothing prettier than a pearlescent, scalloped Watson Roadster. A true legend and a fabricator of legends.

I am sorry to say I never had the pleasure and rare honor ever to come in contact with Mr. Watson. However, I have had the pleasure and distinct honor to have seen up close several of Mr. Watson's extraordinarily beautiful examples of his mechanical genius and fabrication expertise of the highest order.

Rest in peace, sir. You leave a legacy of speed and beauty that very, very few can lay claim to.
