2014 MTQRL Season Opens May 9th at the Gas City I-69 Speedway
The Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Jenmarco.com begins its sixth season of competition with races at the Gas City I-69 Speedway and the Montpelier Motor Speedway on May 9th and 10th. MTQRL Race Director Greg Staab has put together an attractive twenty-one race schedule for our racers and fans and the MTQRL is looking forward to another successful year of competition. As some of you may have already heard, Greg has been recently diagnosed with an illness, which will limit his ability to attend our races. The MTQRL’s thoughts and prayers are with Greg as he concentrates on his well-being. At this time, we would like to ask everyone to please respect Greg’s privacy so he may focus on getting well. Although he will not be a visible presence at the track, Greg is still a prominent part of the MTQRL and will be working behind the scenes as his health allows. In the interim, Chief Official Tom Wilson has volunteered to step up and assume some of Greg’s duties at the track. Tom’s many years of experience as a race director at the Lawrenceburg Speedway will ensure that our events will be officiated and held with the same high standards. We feel the MTQRL officials are some of the best in the business and they will continue to provide excellent service at our events. Steve Motz is returning to the flag stand for another season as the MTQRL starter. Along with Steve the bulk of the MTQRL officiating crew will be returning including technical inspector Greg Stanfill, pit stewards Bobby Jones and Dave Rose, and the “Voice of the MTQRL” Kimb Stewart. The MTQRL is looking forward to dropping the green flag to begin our 2014 season. After averaging nearly twenty-five cars per event last year our hopes are high to continue to provide excellent competition for our competitors and exciting wheel-to-wheel racing entertainment for our fans. The MTQRL would not exist without the support of our car owners, drivers, pit crews, officials, track partners, sponsors, and most importantly our fans. We hope to see everyone at the track this summer for “A New Era in Three-Quarter Midget Racing.” 2014 MTQRL ScheduleFor more information on the MTQRL please visit our website www.mtqrl.com, or like us on Facebook at “Midwest TQ Racing League.” ![]() www.mtqrl.com Like us on Facebook "Midwest TQ Racing League"
