Sitting here this morning looking for the groundhog....thought some of you might enjoy this from Eldora's website....brings back a lot of memories for me.

A name that is conspicuously absent from the winners list is one A.J. Foyt Jr.
Earl makes mention of that fact in his biography and he seems just a wee bit gleeful of that stat, or non-stat as the case may be. Not saying definitively but if one reads between the lines just a little it would lead one to believe that is the case. According to Earl's biography he had a small dust-up with Mr. Foyt at Eldora way back in the day and, again, not speaking for Earl but one gets the impression his feelings towards Mr. Foyt are slightly less than warm. That may not be the case at all but that is the feeling you get while reading the passages concerning Foyt.
