I know that ANY racing during the winter is a good thing. Looking for imput on "rumble". Is it worth the 4 hour drive and $$$$$ to be part of this weekend ?

We went to the Rumble last year for the first time. Just becasue it was racing. I knew basically nothing about any cars there. We had fun. I thought they raced on dirt like the Chili Bowl, so that was a bit of a surprise to me, but overall, we had a good time. There wasn't any class that I didn't enjoy. The little kids and the go carts were probably the most entertaining as far as I was concerned. About the only way the minisprints and midgets could pass was to move someone out of the way. So that was cool, too. I would go again. It is loud and the exhaust is kind of bad and made my eyes burn somewhat.

I always enjoy it but it's only a 30 mile drive for me. Last year was the only time the fumes got Bad, If I can remember right they had a couple of smokers ignoring the black flag. I would recommend going to anybody .

It's been a few years since I've been (inventory time at work kind of screws that one up for me, though I am planning to make it up this year), and I love it. I think it's like 3.5 hours for me, and it's a very enjoyable weekend. I'd recommend any race fan to give it a try.

I go every year and really enjoy the show. Lots of classes I don't usually get to see and they keep the show moving. Always a fun time. A 2 hour drive for me, but worth it.

I enjoy it. It is my favorite for support classes. Get to see the drivers of the future.

Having raced karts and helped many other karters at Ft. Wayne over the years, Id say I'm alittle bias about this race but its on my calender every year! As said before the midgets and 600's get alittle single file but thats just the way indoor "syrup" racing goes sometimes. Still darn good racing in the first part of the winter! If you've never been you should go atleast once. For the kart racers this is one of the larger shows in the midwest throughout the winter. Very fast, locked down and demanding track for the karters but we love it that way! Ok enough cheap plugs for the karting side of the show haha.... Yes if you can get away from the house for the weekend I would recomend this event for sure!! Fumes get alittle strong at times but they are very good about opening the doors when possible. Reserving my room tonight and will be there first thing fri morning. See you guys there...
-T PS- If you can get a pit pass atlease one day, check out the basement where all the karters are pitted. You wouldn't believe the hard work that it takes to make 5 horse "Tater Digger" turn 7000 RPM flat footed around that track!
