Bobby Zaiontz battles to www.rockauto.com USCS 600 win at Riverisde Int. Speedway

West Memphis, AR – November 2, 2013 – The 2012 www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series Champion, Bobby Zaiontz from Columbus, Mississippi captured his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway. Zaiontz raced from his 6th place starting position past K&N Pole Position starter Joe B. Miller from Millersville, Missouri on lap one into second place. He then passed B.J. Simmerman from Batesville, Mississippi on lap two and never looked back on his way to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lame in the www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series main event. Eric Wright from Goodlettsville, Tennessee chased Zaiontz from lap five on and crossed the finish line with a win bearly out of reach as the two drivers battled for the lead the entire twenty laps. Nick Bailey from Little Rock, Arkansas finished on the K&N Filters Podium Award third place. Joe B. Miller held on to fourth place in the main event. Past track Champion, B.J. Simmerman rounded out the top five finishers in one of the strongest fields in the series history.

Veteran 600 sprint racer, Dusty Young from Benton, Arkansas who started fifteenth, chased the lead pack home with a sixth place finish. Newly declared 18 year-old 2013 www.rockauto.com USCS 600 sprint Champion Sean Hosey from Clarksville, Tennessee finished in seventh place after starting fourteenth. Dakota Gaines from Little Rock, Arkansas followed in eighth place. Clayton Robertson from Osceola, Arkansas finished in ninth place and Chris Wright from Qulin, Missouri rounded out the top ten drivers.

Jordan Latham from Sharon Grove, Kentucky won the five-lap Hoosier Race Tire Speed Dash for this event. Bobby Zaiontz won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. Eric Wright won the www.rockauto.com Second Heat. Joe B. Miller won the Schoenfeld Headers Third Heat. Todd McWilliams won the Hoosier Race Tire Fourth and final Heat race. Dusty Young from Benton, Arkansas advanced the most positions in the main event to collect the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hardcharger Award.
