Irwin and Burkin Top Busy Lane Automotive Weekend

Two familiar names found themselves in victory lane as the Lane Automotive Michigan Traditional sprints made visits to Tri City Speedway and Silver Bullet Speedway. On Friday night Mike Burkin made it two for 2013 at Tri city as he was able to hold of Steve Irwin and Joe Irwin to pick up the victory. Both Irwin’s would really work the bottom of the track but would not be able to make the Ohio driver move from the bottom and Burkin would end up in victory lane.

Saturday night would bring the series for the first time to the Silver Bullet Speedway. Former series champion Steve Irwin would make his way by Chuck Wilson about half way through the feature to pick up the win. Wilson and Joe Irwin would try their hardest to get by Steve but in the end Irwin would be able to reign victorious over a very stout field.

The Lane Automotive Michigan Traditional Sprints will close out the 2013 season at the Crystal Motor Speedway as part of the season ending Great Lakes Nationals on September 13th and 14th. Racing on Friday will begin at 7:00pm and on Saturday at 5:00. The Ontario Topless Sprint series will co-sanction this show.
