2006 r1. I have the 1" hose from under the intake and 3/4" line coming from round oil cooler. Is this supposed to be it? I would assume the 1" is the inlet? Thanks for any help.

Patrick,

Not sure if you've discovered the answers to your questions or not, so I'll answer anyway. The bottom hose from the radiator to the motor connects to a steel pipe running down the left side of the motor. It's the hose that tucked in the first photo below. The hose coming out of the bottom middle of the motor (where the water pump lives) goes up to the fitting on the front of the motor, as also shown in this first photo. There should also be a small hose coming from this same fitting, going to the oil cooler. You will need to run a return line from the oil other fitting on the oil cooler (with the cut off hose in the photo), back to the radiator.

In the second photo you will see a plastic thermostat housing. A hose runs from this to under the injection. Around the right side of the motor is a steel line running forward. This is where you connect the top radiator hose. Personally, I've eliminated the thermostat housing, and have run a hose directly from the fitting on the block back to the radiator. I've also teed in my oil cooler line into this hose.

Bill
