Kevin & I want to thank very very much Jerry Coons Jr. for driving the #20 sprint car Saturday night at LPS. Also thanks to Gene Nolen & his crew for allowing us to run the car. For you who do not know us our only child, Jordan raced quarter midgets, ford focus midgets & sprints before his unexpected death at the age of 22 in Oct. 2009. This #20 sprint car was Jordan's. Gene Nolen owns the car now. We were not sure if we ever wanted to see the car on the track again or how it would effect us. We did not want to disrespect Jordan or his memory. It was important to us to have a driver that Jordan would want in the car. He was very protective of his race car. Jerry gave the car a great run. I found myself smiling as I was watching that #20 circle the track again. So thanks again to all who helped us, giving us some joy again. Thanks again Jerry you are a class act!!!
