Following the July 4th Perris Auto Speedway USAC/CRA event, Cory Kruseman and his trio of development drivers will travel to the Midwest this summer to challenge the very best non-wing sprint car drivers in the country. Competing in 25 events during a six week period, the team will field a stable of Viper Chassis supported by LUCAS OIL and AGROMIN SOIL PRODUCTS for drivers Cory Kruseman, rookies Austin Mero and Henry Clarke as well as second year driver, Alex Schutte to wheel.
Kruseman, Mero & Clarke are scheduled to compete in USAC Indiana Sprint Week, the sprint car portion of USAC Indiana Midget Week and the Sprint Bandit Tour~N~Topless (TNT) tour. In between these series, Shutte is scheduled to join his rookie teammates competing locally in Indiana on a pair of action packed weekends. All four drivers are scheduled to compete in the MSCS $10,000 to win event at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, IN) on August 2nd while Kruseman will be the lone entry in the $30,000 to win Ultimate Challenge in Oskaloosa, IA on August 5th. With the winningest driver in Indiana Sprint Week history and two time Champion as their mentor, these young drivers (Mero 16, Clarke 18 & Schutte 19) understand how difficult just making the shows can be. “It’s tough to go back there and compete with guys that run these tracks every week, but to have the opportunity to get so much seat time in a short time period will be invaluable to their progress as a driver” stated Kruseman. Kruseman Motorsports will return to West Coast action on August 23rd with the USAC/CRA sprint cars at the Perris Auto Speedway. Follow the team throughout the summer at the track or on www.kruseman.com. |

Changing the numbers, that happened last year sprint week, right? Changing numbers to use some other teams provisionals...real fair, huh? USAC let them do it and they will probably let them do "number changing" this year....I'm glad they are coming to Indiana, but fair is fair!

Per the USAC entry blank:
PROVISIONAL STARTERS The provisional starter program will be in effect or this series. Two (2) provisionals per event will be awarded to the national series entrants who are in the top 20 in the 2008 season entrant point standings, if elegible. The two highest ranking USAC/CRA sprint car drivers who are in the top 20 in USAC/CRA driver points as of July 8, 2008 will be offered a provisional starting position behind the USAC national cars. There will be a limit of 2 provisionals per driver for Indiana Sprint Week. |

some have in the past...lets see Gardner, Sweet, Cole Whitt, Hagen, Leffler and how about Arizona. Lets see Coons, young Boat and Yeley and I am sure I am leaving some out. So don't be to hard on the west coast after all many Indy 500winners have come from out here. Parnelli Jones and Bill Vukovich just to name a few.

I'm a little dissappointed because I'm going to the show at Perris on July 19th and these guys won't be there. Hopefully the car counts will be good out there.
