Hi, I'm currently on holiday in America.
I’m a builder and I race speedway in New Zealand (1200 mini sprints and TQ's).
I’m traveling around using the trains and buses and staying at campgrounds and youth hostels.
I’m trying to get to as many speedway/ motorsport events whilst im in America. I'm currently in Colorado and am trying to get to the Belleville nationals this week.
I can get to anywhere the amtrac trains stop, Lincoln Nebraska or Kansas City are the closest to the track but i can get off at any station. I was wondering if any one could help me with a ride to Belleville from a town where the train stops?
I am more than happy to help with car prep or do some work in return for the lift. I do nearly all the prep on my cars and i have pit crewed for midgets in NZ.
I’d appreciate any help or advice any one can give me, I know its really last minute, unfortunately my previous plans failed. I'm also trying to get to Knoxville next week if any one could help with that!
thanks
Tom Lumsden

Really can't help you out other than, it might be Cheaper and get you closer if you took the greyhound bus.... Not sure where you are at in CO, but say if you are in Denver you can take the bus to Salina KS, and you will only be an hr or so south of Belleville....Then i can't think of how you get to Belleville from there.

Thanks. I am in Denver. Would prefer to use amtrac if I can as I brought a 45 day amtrac pass. Looked into rental cars but because I'm 24 the insurance etc makes it too expensive for me

Have you reached out to the Belleville HOF. They may have some ideas.
