Just a reminder that the Haynes Apperson Festival is this weekend in downtown Kokomo. Saturday Spencer Racing will have our car at Main and Superior in the parking lot and the really cool thing is the Quarter Midgets will be running in the same lot. 11am till 5pm. later in the evening The Little River Band will be downtown free of charge with fireworks to follow. If you get a chance stop by to support the Quarter Midgets as if enough interest is shown they may add them every year.

And you may get the chance to see Melmo get ran over by a quarter midget for the third time this year. At least rescue is not far away.

If by chance you can make it this weekend put on a racing shirt to show your support as some of the people that have planned this weekends events are not much on racing. We need as many people as possible to show up to keep this deal going. This is the start we were looking for.

I asked Melmo if he went and talked to the young one that hit him and he said he did. I'm glad to hear that both are doing ok.

Make sure the driver knows that it was in no way his/her fault, people should never turn there back on a race car big or small. Paying attention at all times is the best bet.

Jerry the bad part is that I never turned my back on him at all but it was just one of things I went one way and so did he and then I went back the other way and as you all know he did too. But me and the little one had a good talk and he understood that it was in NO WAY his fault. Now the bad part is that Starla wants Josh to be her crew chief this weekend. I told her WOW that would be cool and then I asked her why and she stated: the last two races Mom was in the hospital one time and the other time I was in the hospital and she had a new crew chief for those two races and she won!!! I then stated: GEE THANKS!!!:rolling

Wish I could have stayed. Melmo was telling me about the interview he did with Josh. Would have loved to have recorded that to. But the important part was that kids and well even adults like me needed to hear interviews like that. :thumb
