Have not really posted alot since Winternationals. As you can see I changed my login name from Papa Outlaw to my god given name Wayne Davis. As far as the D2 midget putting on a race weekend in Indiana this summer, not gonna happen mainly due to economics. How ever I am working closely with someone in NC to get a few races there. Would be no less then a Friday/Sat show. We have gotten up to 7-8 running on a constant bases and have a total of 12 cars now in Florida as racer's are building them. We do have a Focus Midget that runs with us but has yet to taste a win...close but no cigar.
As speculated the races that we have ran by these rules really brings these cars together. Winternationals with only 7 cars showed that. I do have other tracks very interested in our group but do not want to pursue until we have adequate car count. We are in the process of launching a new website www.D2midgets.com shortly and with the help and addition of Mike Whitmore from the Wis-Ill Mini Sprints Assoc. that will be coming on board as soon as he gets move to Florida as he has already bought a house here. We would like to welcome Mike and know he will be a very good addition to the Division 2 Midgets.
We are in the process and close to having a National Sponsor for the 8-12 national shows we are going to have next year...We will be looking at 3-4 races in Feb. here in Florida....2 races in early May in NC....3 races in Indiana in July...2 races in NC or Tenn. labor day weekend and a 2 race weekend in Florida or South Ga. Oct 26ish or Thanksgiving weekend Fri. Sat. to crown a Champion..
Hope all is having a good racing season so far and staying safe...still looking at trying to make a race in July up there in Indiana.
