While the T-storms held the car count down, they had a good crowd and the 3/8 at Paducah really is tremendous for open wheel action-long chutes and high banked turns, I saw many times 3-4 wide in the corners in both mains, especially the midget main.

Sprint feature saw Cowboy Clayton in one of the Truckers machines go out to an early lead and of course driving like a man posessed, he nearly hit the turn 2 fence several times before Robert Ballou closed in on him and took the lead when Clayton finally bounced off the turn 2 fence and damaged the RE.

Ballou took the main, I really liked what I saw from Clayton after the wall contact as he never really overdrove a damaged car and brought it home to the checker, RR wobbling all the way.

The midget main was one to remember, Brett Anderson ended up winning but the last three laps were one for the history books. A late caution by a Nick knepper spin closed Ballou up behind Anderson and the slide jobs by Ballou had the crowd on it's feet. Ballou hit the turn 2 fence a ton on the last lap and brought the Felker 37 home with damage to the RR, otherwise he was going to banzai Anderson one more time in turn 4 on the last lap.

That was really enjoyable, Haub tonite if they get it in ought to be good too.

Yes, that was one enjoyable night of racing. I was really impressed with John Memmer in his battle with Daron Clayton in the heat. Too bad his engine wasn't up to the task.
