![]() Calling Danny Williams Sr., or D.O. What is the deal with P.A. announcers at Indy? Have they just become lazy because they have all done it so long? Or, possibly, because there is not a 100,000 people there everyday, so they (the announcers) lack excitment? They can go as long as a half an hour, and not say a word??? I don't get it? While there may not be a lot people there, there are still people there.... Give them something!!?? I consider myself "involved", and I still don't know all, and who is driving every car? I can't imagine the average person going to the track all day, and watch all the practice that has been going on... Then not have clue who they were looking at??? Just a bunch of cars going around, and around? Perhaps they have heard of a Japanese driver named Sato. Yet could sit there all day, and have no idea they even saw him turn laps??? Out of all those peeps in the suites, maybe a couple might get more intersted, if they even had the slightest idea who was out on track, and a little background on those drivers/teams/cars/engines??!!... Give them something/anything!!! I am not saying they need to talk non-stop, but AT THE VERY LEAST, give SOME knowledge to who is zooming by them at 220! The announcers are part of the entertainment for a day at the track, and you are the main link for information. But I hear neither? Btw, if IMS needs an experienced announcer, I know this long haired guy that might be available! ![]() |
