You should be safe every weekend, but sometimes a reminder helps
![]() DUI checkpoints in and around Indy this weekend http://local.nixle.com/alert/5001518/ Also a checkpoint in Bloomington this weekend, be careful leaving the USAC race: http://local.nixle.com/alert/5001510/

I just don't want to see anymore nightmares like I've seen for so long at the hands of drunk drivers.\ Scott Miller, Jasper District #34. |

Please, no one ever drink and drive. Back around the year 2,000 (can't remember the exact date), my grandparents were heading back to their winter home in Florida. In Nashville, a drunk driver hit them. The drunk was killed immediately, my grandparents survived but my grandpa was seriously hurt. Before the incident, he didn't look or act his age (70's) and could do just about anything. He lived about another 10 years (passed in 2010) but was never the same. It is scary how much the accident took of my grandpa.
