Coming from Danville, Indiana, what is the best route to get us to Tri State Speedway? Usually we take 70 west and then head south, but some are talking about I-69 opening and helping out quite a bit on cutting out travel time. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

You could take 37 down to 45 in bloomington over to 69 and I would get off at the hwy 68 exit then turn back north onto 41. I still take 231 at cloverdale, to 67, then to 57, but taking 69 might be better for you.

Chad,

I think I'd stick with I70 and 41.

I have no idea where danville is but I went to kokomo last weekend by taking 69 to crane then went through bloomington and 37 to indy and got to indy in 2 hours and 20 minutes. I left 15 minutes from the track. Hope that helps in your decision.

I69 really helps going to Bloomington, but in order to get to I69 from Danville, it will involve driving on curvy two lane roads, while I70 and 41 is the "stab it and steer it" route.

I'm with Ron on this one, when we went to Bloomington Friday we took 69. After Kokomo we headed 70 to 41. 69 really only helps if you are going to Bloomington or that general area. Anywhere you're still best served to take 70 to 41. Just my 2 cents.

Like I said I have no idea where danville is. No reason to go out of the way just to take 69. Hope everyone gets to the races safely and have a good weekend.

If you want to cut some more time off your I-70/US41 route you can take a short cut that goes around Terre Haute. Off I-70 take the first Terre Haute exit (sr46) left at theT towards Riley. Once you get into Riley turn right onto state road 159 (convenience store on right). Go about 4 miles look for a sign that says "Fowler Park" and turn right onto East Harlan Drive. You will Dick Smith's race car garages on the left on Harlan Drive. Go about 4 miles and you will run into US41 just north of Farmersburg. This saves about 15-20 minutes.
