Driver seriously injured this past weekend in a TQ Midget this past weekend. This wreck looked very similar to Shane Hmiel as the cage was crushed. Friends and Family are asking for prayers and finiancial help as well. I do not know how to attach the link properly but if you google search it , it will get you there and Im sure they would appreciate it if someone would post the direct link on here (Im not smart enough). Im sure anything will help this man. If you read the article or see the video you will notice no AMBULANCE . Sprint Cars were also competing at this track without and ambulance. I do not know if an Ambulance would have helped this driver but why would anyone race without an ambulance. I remember Florida held a 500 lap sprint race a few years back like the little 500 and had no ambulance and a driver got hurt and was taken to the hospital in the bed of a pickup truck. Prayers go out to this driver and family. Help Geoff Styner. Medical Expenses - YouCaring.com

Florida based TQ and Sprint Car driver Geoff Styner suffered a near fatal accident while competing at Full Throttle Speedway on May 4, 2013. Geoff was pulling double duty this night, scheduled to compete in the FMARA TQ feature as well as the TBARA feature in his #15 sprint car.
During the TQ feature, the car suffered a mechanical failure while in the turn, the car turned on to its side and went into the wall at a high rate of speed, cage first. The cage collapsed during the impact and Geoff's helmet also made impact with the wall. Geoff has a shattered C1 vertabrae, punctured lung and a cracked sternum. The neurosurgeon said this type of injury usually ends in a funeral, so Geoff is very lucky. Geoff has had surgery to have a halo installed and he will have to wear the halo for about four months and will probably be out of work longer than that, so this will obviously be quite the burden on the Styners. In addition to the incredible medical bills involved, Geoff will be out of work during this time and most likely continue to be out of work once the halo has been removed and he will have to go through physical therapy. For those of you wishing to make a donation to help Geoff Styner with his soon-to-be enormous medical bills, TBARA & Floridasprintcars.com have set up a donation website (click on link below); http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fun...-styner-/57942 Also, if you would like to send Geoff a card, gift card for groceries, some racing magazines, whatever you feel would help him out during the next four months of wearing a halo, here is the address: Geoff Styner SE 25th Terrace Cape Coral, FL 33904 |

Geoff will be in our thoughts and prayers. I was not there so this is just my thoughts, no ambulance no racing, take a look at the people that may be keeping the people that you love alive if they are clueless or not there at all please load up and go home.
We have crashed at places were the ambulance was rolling before the car stopped crashing. The teams are doing there best to put on a good show, the tracks should not cut corners when it comes to seeing to it that the same teams make it back week after week to race as safely as possible. Again I was not there and I am not pointing fingers, J.M.O. One last thing to the drivers, owners, moms, dads and even the fans, stida, stida, stida I can not tell you when something like this may happen (I pray to God it never does) but when and if it does you will feel better with one less worry and that is that stida has you covered. Praying that all works out. Jerry,Sarah,Paul,Josh and Sonny Spencer #66j stida.com/HalfMoon
