Seems rule #3 has come into effect due to a lot of name calling on the Eldora Dirt thread. You knows who is and has so stop it.
Start another thread if you wish but no name calling.
IOW gives everybody a lot of room to spew about their pet peeve but please don't take it far enough that posters report your post.

Dang, I missed it, I didn't even read the Eldora Dirt thread...

D.O., is the rule your talking about list below???:O: I thought you liked pissin', moanin' and whinin'??? :O: You know, if I were a marketing genius, I would probably say that all that pissin', moanin' and whinin' would be good for ratings.

IOW Rule #3 - If you are a long-standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use this message boards.

What about rules 1 & 2....
IOW Rule #1 - We take this "Be Polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning.

IOW Rule #2 - No personal attacks of any kind against a member, or group of members. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but if it gets out of hand and turns into a fight to get the biggest jab at the other person, then its gone too far.

I was a little disappointed that SUPERDUKE wasn't getting the respect he deserves. Although his career as both a driver and a promotor had some rough spots, Duke ran those death traps for a long time and, yes, he had some great moments from time to time in his career. I think he deserves to be treated with the respect that an ex-USAC "survivor" (from back in the dangerous days!!)deserves, champion, or not.

I agree with giving SUPERDUKE respect but i haven't read any of his posts that show he deserves any. You have to give :respect: to get :respect:.

I posted a while back about helping Larry Boos clean up garbage after the races and i was asked here on the board if i was gay. Guess who asked me that question.

The respect SUPERDUKE has coming from his past sounds admirable but what he is doing on here lately is making it very hard for people to send him any respect in present time. Hopefully this post doesn't rub anyone the wrong way.

Tim,

I agree completely. But you have to admit that ole Superduke was his own worst enemy.:rolling:doh:
