Wyoming County and Flamboro Speedway Starting Pavement Sprint Car Divisions

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. (March 10, 2013) - Wyoming County (N.Y.) International Speedway and Flamboro (ON) Speedway are developing a new Winged Sprint Car division. The tracks will each start with five events in 2013 with plans to expand the schedule in 2014.

“We have set five exposition dates at Wyoming County Speedway for this season to draw interest from the fans and drivers," said George Quintana. “The rules will be open to any type of engine and open to both dirt and pavement cars. This will make it easier for the dirt teams to give it a try or for anyone to put an engine in an inexpensive roller. The main intention is to make wing sprint cars a full time class in 2014. The rules will be set in place at that time to fit the local demographics.”

Wyoming County International Speedway, known as “The Bullring”, is located in Perry, NY.

Flamboro Speedway, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is also planning to run five Wing Sprint Car events with the same rules package. The two tracks are working together to create an international 10 race series. Both facilities are approximately 2 hours apart.

• May 11th - Flamboro
• May 24th - Wyoming County
• June 15th - Flamboro
• June 21st - Wyoming County
• July 13th - Flamboro
• July 19th - Wyoming County
• August 16th - Wyoming County
• August 17th - Flamboro
• September 21st - Flamboro
• October 5th - Wyoming County/Shootout at the Bullring

Wing sprint cars made a big splash in New York State last year when the TRUFUEL Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series (MSRXSS) had inaugural events at Oswego and Shangri-La Speedways. Jason Cox and Jojo Helberg set new track records each night surpassing the previous super modified records.
