I have seen that Dave says the track is 3/8 mile. (.375 mile)
USAC has a press release up about sprintweek - Chevy sponsor -- they say the New Track is 1/3 mile. (.333 mile)
What is the real size?

The track measured 1986 feet from 10 feet from the outside wall. If my math is correct that measures just a tab bit over 3/8ths. I have a measuring wheel if anyone wants to measure the track for themselves during a non race night.

3/8ths = .375 Dave's math is correct, Was there when he walked it off. Dave's walk off = .377. 2/1000th over 3/8ths

looks can be deceiving! It appears to be as big as Florence Speedway but Florence is, I believe, a .44 mile track. I think the size of the grandstands combined with the wall, the high catch fence, the banking and the newness of everything, make the track appear bigger than it is. It's a beautiful place!
